Do you sometimes ask yourself if you need only an invitation or do you need an invitation suite for your wedding or special occasion. What’s the difference? When you order an invitation, you will receive an invitation with the RSVP information included in the wording along with a mailing envelope. The return address may or may not be included in the price you are quoted for the invitation, so ask the question. Your stationer will guide you through the wording and help ensure that the tone reflects your personality but includes the necessary information.
An invitation suite allows you more design flexibility. You will receive the invitation along with an RSVP card and return envelope. The suite will also include the mailing envelope for these items. Typically, but not always, the address printed on the RSVP envelope is included in the price. Also ask if the price quoted includes printing the return address on the mailing envelope. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn’t. There are different options available for addressing the mailing envelopes….inquire about those also. Depending on the scope of your event, you might need to include a menu card, or a map pointing out landmarks guests will pass as they travel to your reception or party location. Some guests may need information about hotel accommodations, and information about a rehearsal dinner, along with weekend activities that can be enjoyed. All of these items can be included in an invitation suite and each may be detailed on a separate insert included with the invitation at an additional cost.
Now that you know….stay tuned for future posts, that will talk about setting the tone for your special event so that your guests are excited and can’t wait to attend.
Thanks!
